Batson-Cook appointed Jeff Turner as chief financial officer and treasurer. Turner will be responsible for all the accounting and financial aspects of the company.

During his 21-year career, Turner has dedicated himself to Batson-Cook. He served the general contractor in the field during high school, working to obtain college credits. Upon graduation, he ascended the jobsite ladder, moving from project accountant to accounting manager, and assistant controller. He was appointed to the position of controller in 2007, and assumed the additional responsibility of overseeing the company’s administrative functions including marketing, IT, payroll, accounting, and human resources two years later. Turner will continue to oversee these departments in addition to his new responsibilities.

Cecil G. Hood, CFO and treasurer of the firm for 16 years, will assume the role of special consultant during the transition. He will assist Mr. Turner and Chief Executive Officer Raymond L. Moody on an as needed basis. BD+C
