Despite return-to-office mandates by some organizations, hybrid and remote work arrangements continue to be prevalent.

Some 68% of companies are offering some form of flexible work arrangements, according to Trepp, a consulting firm for real estate and financial services companies. Organizations are maintaining hybrid and remote work options because they fear losing employees to competitors over flexible work policies.

Office attendance has been rising, with office visits up 10% in 2024 as compared to 2023. Still, office attendance was 34% lower last year than in 2019.

Newer office facilities are faring better in occupancy rates than older ones. Newer properties offering amenities, flexible floor plans, and the latest technology are experiencing the highest demand.
