November 2024 Top 10 Building Products

EMI-RFI Shielded Door Assembly

by ASSA ABLOY

To help ensure sensitive and confidential information is secure and contained, the EMI-RFI Shielded Door Assembly reduces the possibility of electronic interference by blocking unwanted electromagnetic waves from interfering with other circuits or devices in commercial, healthcare or government applications. With a split frame and adjustable perimeter seals, the system also provides sound abatement up to STC 50 to prevent unwanted noise and protect sensitive communication. Pre-Configured and Custom models are available to suit project needs.

Tubelite 14000 I/O Series Storefront aluminum framing systems

by Tubelite

An expanded and redesigned storefront product offering, the Tubelite 14000 I/O Series Storefront aluminum framing systems is now available with a dual-cavity, thermally broken system to provide building teams and owners a choice of thermal performance options. Additional updates ensure greater consistency between parts, details and capabilities, like 90-degree corners that eliminate the need for shear blocks and giving glazing contractors the option to install from either the inside or outside of a building. While these upgrades are available immediately, they also ensure compatibility between Tubelite Standard, Monumental and Therml=Block architectural aluminum entrance doors and corresponding framing to simplify ordering and installation.

PAC-400 metal composite material (MCM)

by Petersen, a Carlisle Company

Providing design options for those wanting to add truly flat, colorful surfaces to building exteriors, the PAC-400 metal composite material (MCM) is available as a flat sheet for use with routed, factory-fabricated systems and for use in field-assembled systems like the PAC-400 Reveal and PAC-400 Deep Reveal. A 4mm composite panel, the material is resistant to fire, impacts and water intrusion and can be curved for aesthetic appeal. Standard carpentry tools can be used to cut and install PAC-400, and for the field-assembled systems the material is delivered directly to a jobsite along with prefinished trim moldings and accessories.

Thermiser Max – Low U Insulated Rolling Door

by Clopay Corporation

With a U-factor rating of 0.532, the Thermiser Max – Low U Insulated Rolling Door suits exterior applications where climate control and energy efficiency are critical. Made possible by the company’s CPVC backer, it creates a thermal break in the curtain assembly and lowers the thermal transfer rate compared to metal-on-metal joint assemblies, helping the door meet ASHRAE 90.12, IECC 2021 and California’s Title 24 air filtration requirements. Additionally, the rolling door is ASTM E84 rated and offers a sound transmission rating of up to 27 for the full assembly.

Uponor radiant manifold wall cabinets

by GF Building Flow Solutions Americas

The launch of six radiant manifold wall cabinets provides more solutions to help builders design and install efficient, high-performing systems. Designed for secure protection, durability and reliability, the cabinets come in both recessed styles that mount in either a 2x4 or 2x6 stud wall or surface mount that work on various materials and feature a separable back plate for easier installations. Four of the cabinets accommodate Uponor Commercial Stainless-Steel Manifolds; the entire offering accommodates Uponor Engineered Polymer and Stainless-Steel Manifolds.

Series 8000 Vantage Line

by Western Window Systems

Combining clean design with enhanced durability, the Series 8000 Vantage Line launches with four products: Series 8630 Fixed Window/Window Wall; Series 8660 Awning Window; Series 8665 Pass-Through Awning Window; and Series 8670 Casement Window. To blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, the line features expansive glass with narrow frame profiles through advanced Euro Groove technology that also simplifies installation. A high-density polyurethane foam thermal barrier allows the windows to meet Energy Star 7 and Title 24 energy standards.

Ecophon FADE Duo Acoustical Fiberglass & Plaster System

by CertainTeed

The Ecophon FADE Duo Acoustical Fiberglass & Plaster System unites aesthetics and acoustic performance with an acoustic plastering system that absorbs unwanted noise, making it ideal for projects in historic buildings, commercial, retail and educational spaces. Because the spray-applied fiberglass and plaster solution is applied to a fiberglass coreboard that can be mounted to ceilings and walls, the system can achieve a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 0.75-0.85 depending on board thickness, texture and installation method. It is also fire-tested per ASTM E84 Flame Spread with a Class A rating. White and six standard color options can be mixed into the plaster; custom color mixing options are available.

xStorage battery energy storage system (BESS)

by Eaton

By providing the ability to operate independently from the electric grid and strategically dispatch stored energy, the xStorage battery energy storage system (BESS) can help businesses and communities reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions and maintain power during utility outages. Part of the company’s Everything as a Grid approach to the energy transition, the energy storage system aims to accelerate decarbonization projects and maximize the impact of on-site renewables. A modular design provides flexible installation options, and it can provide 250 to 1000 kilo-watt hours of usable stored energy.

IR 521 / 521T / 521 UT Storefront Framing System

by Kawneer

Delivering hurricane protection, thermal performance and aethetics, the IR 521 / 521T / 521 UT Storefront Framing System combines thinner sightlines and ultra-thermal capabilities with Missile Lvel D and Level E impact protection. The storefront framing system units can be completely fabricated and glazed—inside or outside glazed—in the shop to minimize jobsite costs and ensure project control and installation quality. Along with high span options up to 138 inches, the system’s thermal break technology provides occupant comfort and minimized operational costs with non-thermal, thermal (T) and ultra-thermal (UT) options available.

Vista CT casement window system

by Euro-Wall

By utilizing ultra-thin profiles and durable engineering, the Vista CT casement window system maximizes access to daylight and natural views. Available in window panel sizes up to 10-feet tall and up to 52-inches wide, the operable window system is compatible with a range of glass options, as an impact and non-impact system, and is thermally broken to ensure energy performance. With the option to specify in single and multiple unit configurations—or in combination with the company’s folding, sliding, pivot and direct set fixed windows—the casement window utilizes the built-in Mull-Link system that supports a seamless aesthetic and streamlined installation.
