Updated renderings released this month show that Bjarke Ingels Group is still adjusting its design for the two towers at 76 Eleventh Avenue in Manhattan.
Inhabitat reports that the condo towers will hold office space instead of a 150,000-sf hotel, as the plans originally called for.
The buildings are defined by their twisting, angular shapes, their asymmetrical appearance, and their height. The 28- and 38-floor complexes will stand 302 and 402 feet high, considerably taller than other buildings in the Chelsea area.
The $870 million project will include 260 condos, 85,000 sf of retail space, and 100 parking spots. It will be completed in 2018.
