Wisnewski Blair & Associates changes name to HGA Mid-Atlantic

New name reflects firm's growing design resources on East Coast.

Wisnewski Blair & Associates, Ltd (WBA), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc. (HGA) in January 2011, has changed its name to HGA Mid-Atlantic.

WBA was established by Joseph J. Wisnewski, FAIA, PE, and Ray Lewis, AIA, in 1976. Luther C. Blair, Jr., AIA, became a partner after joining in 1977. Today HGA Mid-Atlantic employs approximately 60 professional team members.

Among HGA Mid-Atlantic’s notable projects are the Washington Headquarters Services for the Department of Defense in Alexandria, Virginia; the Northern Virginia Resident Agency for the FBI Field Office in Manassas, Virginia; several ongoing projects for George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia; the Virginia Department of Transportation Administration Building and Virginia State Police Division 7 Headquarters in Fairfax County; and Patriot Ridge in Springfield, Virginia.

HGA Mid-Atlantic’s offices remain at 44 Canal Center Plaza, Alexandria, Virginia. +
