At first glimpse, it seems like Diamond Lotus is more shrubbery that it is a building. Designboom reports that the housing complex, designed by Vo Trong Nghia Architects and located in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, will be comprised of three 22-story apartment blocks that will house 720 families.

A garden roof with trees, pathways, and pavilions will span the buildings.

Diamond Lotus will have an exterior covered by bamboo and other plants that will regulate heat gain and shade residences from sunlight. Every condo will have its own garden balcony.
