The U.S. Green Building Council announced the opening of the first public comment period for LEED for Operations and Maintenance: Multifamily. According to the USGBC, new and updated credits for existing multifamily projects is part of the LEED v4 family and is the first time LEED will be available to structures in the existing residential market.

Through the new adaptation of the LEED Operations and Maintenance, solutions are available for existing multifamily projects with at least 20 units, whether it's a single building with 20 units or multiple buildings within the same complex.

Comments can be submitted through the Credit LIbrary or LEEDuser discussion forms. The public comment period will be open through May 29.
