The American Concrete Institute and International Concrete Repair Institute have published an updated Guide to the Code for Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures.
The guide provides licensed design professionals with the knowledge, skill, and judgment to interpret and use the ACI 562, Code Requirements for Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures, according to a news release.
New features include an appendix addressing specifications with examples, and clear definitions of the responsibilities and scope of repair, rehabilitation, or strengthening of concrete structures. The guide also includes three new examples and five updated examples guiding licensed design professionals through the code provisions of concrete repair projects.
