To kick off our third-annual Under 40 Leadership Summit, October 9-11 in San Francisco, BD+C's Editorial Director Robert Cassidy will moderate a Q&A session with M. Arthur Gensler, Jr., FAIA, FIIDA, RIBA, founder of the world’s largest architecture firm.
Gensler and Cassidy will talk about the role of the architect in society, the impact of great design, and the practicalities of starting and running a practice, and will offer advice for today’s young design and construction professionals. U40 Summit attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussion.
The event, which brings together current and past 40 Under 40 winners and other young AEC leaders, is taking place at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Other highlights of the U40 Leadership Summit are:
• $5,000 Vision U40 competition. Summit attendees will collaborate in small teams to develop innovative solutions to today's pressing social, economic, technical and cultural problems related to the built environment. The winning teams will share $5,000 in prizes. (See our video explaining the competition: http://www.BDCnetwork.com/VisionU40)
