Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home and Studio and the Frederick C. Robie House are set to reopen for tours in accordance with Phase 3 of Governor Pritzker’s “Restore Illinois” plan. Both sites will reopen on Thursday, June 11.

As part of the reopening, increased cleaning and sanitation practices are being observed in all of the spaces with frequent touch surfaces being disinfected regularly during the day. Public restrooms will be cleaned several times each day and hand sanitizer stations will be located within each site.

Additionally, the tour groups will be limited to eight people per tour and tour routes have been adjusted to help maintain physical distancing. Outdoor tour options have been increased, as well. Shop check out areas are marked with waiting lines spaced six feet apart and plexiglass shields have been installed at register stations. The number of people allowed inside the shops at one time will also be limited

Ticket and shop purchases are credit card (with guests scanning their own cards) only to avoid touch points associated with cash transactions. Finally, all staff, volunteers, and guests must wear face masks at all times.
