Turner Corp.’s online classes now open to public

August 11, 2010

A/E/C professionals interested in taking online education courses offered through Turner Corp.’s Turner University can now do so, as the Dallas-based contractor has rolled out its Turner Knowledge Network program for the general public.

Turner University currently offers 28 competitively-priced classes that use various forms of teaching -- videos, text, examples, and tests. The self-paced courses electronically guide users through the steps and ensure they understand the material before progressing to the next module.

An OSHA web-based certification course, “OSHA 30-Hour Certification,” is Turner University’s premier product today. Other courses developed to address risk management and the increasing cost of insurance include “Insurance and Bonding” and “How to Read and Analyze Financial Statements.” Other courses are designed for technical and general skill building.

Turner began development of TKN in mid-1999 and launched Turner University to staff and then current business partners in mid-2002.
