Tilt-up tabs its top eight projects

August 11, 2010

Eight was the lucky number in Las Vegas recently, when the Tilt-Up Concrete Association awarded its 2003 Tilt-Up Achievement Awards during its annual meeting. The awards spotlight projects that introduce new building types, advance industry technology or provide a unique solution to a building program.

Twenty-five awards were presented, with eight projects receiving the additional distinction of being selected the Best in Class. The projects include:
· Ventana Medical Systems Inc. corporate headquarters -- a 182,400-sq.-ft. of-fice/manufacturing/warehouse project in Oro Valley, Ariz. (see BD&C, 1/03, p 52)
· Stapleton Business Center Building E1 – A 314,978-sq.-ft. distribution/warehouse in Denver.
· Guittard Chocolate – A 286,000-sq.-ft. industrial/manufacturing facility in Fairfield, Calif.
· Mission Collage Learning Resource Center – A 38,500-sq.-ft. educational facility in Santa Clara, Calif.
