The final steel beam was recently put in place on the 270-foot-high glass and metal-clad office building in Manhattan’s Meatpacking district. The building, which will add 140,000 sf of office space, will become the Meatpacking district’s tallest building once completed.

In total, the 18-story building will offer 250,000 sf of commercial space thanks to an adapted historic building that connects to the new tower. The offices will be almost completely column-free and have a modern aesthetic with an exposed steel structure, contrasting blackened stainless steel walls and terrazzo floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and 8,000 sf of outdoor terrace space.

In addition to the office space and innovative workplaces, the building will also have space for shops on the ground floor.

The building will fit into and build upon the Meatpacking district, which is packed with former warehouses, but is now a hotbed of trendy restaurants, shops, and clubs. The building, located at 412 West 15th Street, will be completed in 2017.
