Sto Corp. launches joint warranty with The Quikrete Companies, Inc.

Sto Corp. and The Quikrete Companies, Inc. have teamed up to offer a StoPowerwall System Warranty.

April 27, 2011

ATLANTA – (April 27, 2011) Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in cladding, coating, and restoration systems, and Quikrete, are pleased to announce a joint marketing agreement.  The program enables contractors to combine the advantages of StoPowerall  Stucco finishes with Quikrete One Coat Fiberglass Reinforced Stucco Sanded and Quikrete Base Coat Stucco-Pump Grade Sanded that is covered by a single warranty. The StoPowerwall Stucco System creates a more durable, impact resistant, colorfast exterior wall cladding. This lightweight cladding offers greater flexibility, with faster installation than traditional stucco.

The Quikrete One Coat Fiberglass Reinforced Stucco Sanded is an ICC code approved, dry, pre-blended cement stucco basecoat that is engineered with proprietary admixtures and fibers that reduce shrinkage and checking. The stucco can be installed as a one coat stucco basecoat or as a scratch and brown coat in a traditional application.  Available in 80- and 3,000-pound packages, the product meets the requirements for ASTM C 926.

Sto’s Powerwall finishes come in a wide variety of flexible, silicone enhanced, elastomeric or acrylic-based finishes that are either textured or smooth.  Sto’s elastomeric finishes can bridge hairline cracks to keep moisture out – all of which add up to a more powerful cladding system. StoPowerwall finishes deliver excellent color uniformity and a wide array of tint choices using highly concentrated pigments that won’t dilute material like universal tints can. With a variety of textured finishes and smooth coatings and more than 1 million tint formulas, Sto puts custom design options at your fingertips.  Choose from various coatings and finishes, including StoCoat Lotusan, which has a pronounced self-cleaning effect, is highly resistant to mold and mildew, and has high water vapor permeability.

The terms of the new Sto/Quikrete warranty are the same as the StoPowerwall system warranties, up to 12 years, depending on the system configuration.  For more information, please visit www.stocorp.com.
