SLATERPAULL Architects to merge with Hord Coplan Macht

Baltimore-based multidisciplinary design firm Hord Coplan Macht announced that Denver design and planning firm SLATERPAULL Architects has joined the firm.

The merger will create a full-service practice with offices in Baltimore, MD, Denver, CO and Alexandria, VA that offers integrated architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, planning and historic preservation services. Lee Coplan will remain as CEO of the firm and its headquarters will stay in Baltimore.

The addition gives Hord Coplan Macht’s practice an enhanced portfolio in K-12 and higher education design while adding healthcare, mixed use/housing and senior living to the SLATERPAULL Denver studio. The merger also broadens Hord Coplan Macht’s national presence by adding a Denver office. In Denver, the combined firm will do business as SLATERPAULL Hord Coplan Macht.

Three members of SLATERPAULL’s leadership team will join Hord Coplan Macht’s board of directors. The new firm will include a total of 180 employees among the three offices.

Silver Cross became one of the first hospitals to install patient tracking software so families know where a patient is at all times. New communication equipment supports wireless voice and data networks throughout the hospital, providing access to patients and their families while freeing clinicians to use phones and computers where needed instead of based on location.
