Brooklyn, the land of Brownstones, is getting into the supertall tower scene. Inhabitat reports that SHoP Architects unveiled new renderings of a 600,000-sf, 90-story tower. Located at 340 Flatbush Avenue Extension, it will be adjacent to Long Island University and down the street from Prospect Park and the Barclays Center.
Among the plans are 466,000 sf of residential space and 140,000 sf of commercial space. It will be the tallest building in the outer boroughs of New York City when it is completed in 2019.
