Residential lofts promote live-work environment in Carlsbad, Calif.

Trammell Crow Residential's newest loft development in Carlsbad, Calif., is designed for the niche market of people that operate home-based businesses or are trying to get their small businesses off the ground. The Bluwater Crossing live-work lofts and townhomes provide approximately 1,000 sf ground-floor workspace and garage doors that roll up to provide exposure for the business. The development offers 78 residential homes, including 15 two-story townhomes and 51 lofts, as well as 21,600 sf of retail space and below-grade parking.
