The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enhanced its variances Web page to improve public understanding of the variance approval process and increase access to the agency's decisions regarding variance requests. A variance is a regulatory action that permits an employer to deviate from OSHA standards requirements under specified conditions.
The page now lists denied and approved requests and provides information to employers regarding submitting formal requests for a variance. To view OSHA's variances Web page, click here.
