Booming Dubai is the home of some of the world's most outrageous and impressive new buildings, from the Burj Khalifa to the Palm Jumeirah archipelago to the soaring, sail-shaped Burj Al Arab. Not to mention the Moorish fantasy of the Atlantis The Palm hotel and resort.

Team BlackSheep—devotees of FPV, or first-person view, filmmaking with drones—has posted a fun video that takes viewers high over the city for spectacular vistas of this modern architectural showcase. It's like flying your own private mini-plane but without the hassles and expense. The team's Youtube channel offers lots of other examples, including from Hong Kong to Venice to New Zealand.

Enjoy the ride.
