NAIMA to explore ‘Global Energy Efficiency’ at Greenbuild

The panelists for Greenbuild session YL04 on Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Boston “Implementing Global Energy Efficiency and GHG reductions in the Building Sector,”  will provide their global perspectives on programs and initiatives driving energy efficiency and GHG reduction,

They are: 

Stephen Koch, currently the Executive Director for NAIMA Canada, an industry association which promotes energy efficiency and environmental preservation through the use of fibre glass, rock wool, and slag wool insulation, and encourages the safe production and use of these materials.


Dr. Richard A. Bradley. Dr. Bradley has been the head of the Energy Efficiency and Environment Division at the International Energy Agency in Paris since January 2004. The division develops analyses of energy efficiency and climate change policies for IEA member governments. Prior to joining the IEA, Dr. Bradley was a senior negotiator for the U. S. on multilateral energy and environment agreements, including: the Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, the NOx Protocol under the Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution Convention, and the Montréal Protocol. He held a number of senior management positions in the U. S. Department of Energy prior to joining the IEA.

Kateri Callahan, President of the Alliance to Save Energy, brings more than 20 years of experience in policy advocacy, fundraising, coalition building, and organizational management to her position, a non-government organization headquartered in Washington, D.C.  Callahan spearheads the organization’s multi-faceted initiatives to advance energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment, and greater energy security.  She leads a staff of more than 50, with operations in approximately twenty countries, and an annual budget of $10 million.



Finally, Dr. Marianne Moscoso-Osterkorn, the International Director of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).  Besides her leading function in REEEP she is currently a member of the Board of the Gold Standard Foundation; a member of the Advisory Council of the European Technology Platform for the Electricity Networks of the Future (European Commission); and a member of the UNDP External Advisory Group to the Environment and Energy Network (EENET).

 

She is also the author of numerous publications and has held teaching assingments in several Universities.
