METALCON 2012 is scheduled for Oct. 9-11 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Hall A, Rosemont, Ill.

What: The 22nd annual METALCON International Conference and Exhibition -it's the one event where metal construction professionals meet to learn, network and establish relationships. METALCON's unbeatable blend of product exhibits, educational programs, and demos of the latest field techniques and trends, offers insight and ideas to help build better structures and strengthen your business. All are related to the use of metal - long recognized for its low maintenance, high durability and sustainable attributes.

Who: This annual metal tradeshow draws nearly 8,000 designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers from more than 50 countries. Goettsch Partners (GP) recently completed 320 South Canal, billed as “Chicago’s healthiest office tower,” according to the architecture firm. Located across the street from Chicago Union Station and close to major expressways, the 51-story tower totals 1,740,000 sf. It includes a conference center, fitness center, restaurant, to-go market, branch bank, and a cocktail lounge in an adjacent structure, as well as parking for 324 cars/electric vehicles and 114 bicycles.
