Lubbers promoted to creative director at Wight & Co.

Lubbers has been instrumental in many recent high profile Wight projects, including the College of DuPage Student Resource Center, Seaton Computing Center, The Adler Planetarium Sky Theater transformation and UNO Charter Schools.

Wight & Company announced that Michael J. Lubbers, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to creative director. Lubbers joined the firm in 2008 as senior designer and operates out of Wight’s Chicago office.

Lubbers has been instrumental in many recent high profile Wight projects, including the College of DuPage Student Resource Center, Seaton Computing Center, The Adler Planetarium Sky Theater transformation and UNO Charter Schools.

Before joining Wight, Lubbers was a managing associate and senior designer at OKW Architects. His responsibilities included functioning as a design lead for several large urban mixed-use projects such as: The New City for Structured Development and Uptown Redevelopment for PRC Partners LLC.  Additional OKW experience included commercial interiors project competitions for clients such as Motorola and Honeywell.
