Los Angeles café’s organic ethos reflected in handcrafted design

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | August 17, 2011

The San Francisco Bay Area-based CafÈ Gratitude chain is known for its local-source, organic menu and tranquil dining atmosphere. Featuring interior and patio dining, a bar, and retail space, the cafÈ marries modern design with handcrafted details. Developed by Rio Clementi Hale Studios and Lisa Bonbright of Ramsey-Shilling Commercial Real Estate Services, the newset cafÈ in Los Angeles features wood paneling and an exterior deck with non-rainforest picket fence. Natural wood is used in seating, the bar, and communal and individual tables. The 75-seat restaurant offers an organic menu derived from native Southern California fare.
