The Lukmire Partnership, Arlington, Va., designed the Stafford County, Va., library, the firm’s fourth for the Central Rappahannock Library System, to combine modern library-browsing trends with traditional library services. Comfortable seating areas, plus a fireplace in the periodicals area, create a relaxing atmosphere. A children’s “beehive” program room, a café, and a bookstore-style media center and popular reading area round out the library’s amenities.
