The Century Spire, Daniel Libeskind's latest project, has just broken ground in Century City, southwest of Manila. It is meant to accommodate apartments and offices; residential units will range from one-bedrooms to penthouses, Dezeen reports.

The crown of the tower will be broken into three pieces, putting a unique silhouette on the city skyline.

Century Spire, which will reach 60 stories, will be glazed on all four sides with semi-reflective glazing. The tower's base will taper inwards to allow for a landscaped entrance plaza.

Completion is marked for 2018. The tower's interiors will be designed by Armani/Casa, Giorgio Armani's interior design studio. Amenities will include a library, a juice bar and a swimming pool.

Other Building Team members: GF and Partners Architects (architect of record); SY2 + Associates Inc. (structural engineer); RTM Mechanical Engineering Services (MEP engineer); and Crearis (landscape architect).
