Kansas Receives Grant

Kansas Receives Grant

By Staff | August 11, 2010

The National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA Center) has awarded $50,000 to the state of Kansas as part of the Clean Energy States Grant Program to help achieve greater energy efficiency, conservation and use of clean energy resources.

"Kansas is a leader in helping America secure a clean energy future," said Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, co-chair of the NGA Center's Securing a Clean Energy Future Initiative. "From our rapidly expanding wind energy industry, to our new efficiency partnerships with utilities, to our first-in-the-nation ethanol plant, the fuel for the future is right here in the Heartland."

Grant assistance will go towards research, analysis, training, outreach, and other efforts to develop and advance clean energy in Kansas.
