The work of illustrator Federico Babina often goes viral among the online architecture community because of his whimsical reinterpretations of the aesthetic of famous architects.
In his latest series, Archizoo, Babina transforms iconic buildings into animals. The waves of Henning Larsen’s multifamily building in Vejle, Denmark, become the humps of a camel, while the boomerang-like details of Oscar Niemeyer’s Cathedral of Brasília become the feathers of an ostrich.
Here’s a quick sample of what the collection has to offer. Head over to Architizer to find more illustrations in the series.
