An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the Green Globes rating system and LEED standards puts LEED ahead, but doesn’t discount the merits of Green Globes. “LEED is a more rigorous, broad-based, credible system that delivers more environmental benefits. But if a developer or owner doesn’t have the time, money or stomach to pursue LEED certification — which is not uncommon — Green Globes can achieve far more environmental gains than doing nothing at all.”
