Named for Charlotte Baldwin Allen, who, in the 1800s used her inheritance to finance Houston’s entire construction industry, the C. Baldwin hotel is a high-end, independent hotel that will serve as a social anchor for the Allen Center, a 3.2 million-sf mixed-use campus.

The hotel will include 354 guest rooms, common areas, a restaurant, a luxury nail salon, curated local retailers, activated green space, and 14,000 sf of meeting and event space. The hotel is situated on the western edge of Downtown at Allen Parkway near Sam Houston Park. It is a short walk from the Theater District, Midtown, and the Main Street METRORail line.

Phase I of the Allen Center, of which C. Baldwin will be the focal point, was unveiled in fall 2017. Subsequent phases will include additional targeted retail and restaurant tenants, building upgrades, and amenity enhancements.

C. Baldwin is slated for completion in summer 2019. In addition to Rottet Studio, the build team includes interior design firm ROHE Creative.
