BOMA’s medical building conference examines healthcare reform, real estate

The Building Owners and Managers Assn. (BOMA) held the 2011 Medical Office Buildings and Healthcare Facilities Conference last month to discuss healthcare reform’s effect on medical real estate.

Experts at the conference agreed that healthcare reform will generate demand for outpatient facilities—medical office buildings and ambulatory care centers—however, precise details of the changes remain unknown.
