A new case study from Johnson Controls shares how wireless technology at Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, Tenn. has had a direct effect on patient care. Read the case study here.
This project showcases how a new wireless infrastructure enables the use of wireless medical devices that enhance patient safety and quality of care.
Specifically:
-Now, clinicians are able to record and retrieve medical information to monitor and administer care where and when it’s needed because of the reduction in dead coverage spots.
-The wireless infrastructure supports voice and data systems such as personal communications/cellular carriers, local area networks, two-way radios, digital paging, handheld clinical devices, medical telemetry and electronic medical record (EMR) keeping system, among others.
-Baptist Memorial Health Care worked with Johnson Controls Innovation Services to facilitate interdepartmental planning sessions to identify priorities, address concerns and plan for success.
-The in-building wireless distribution system was set up in seven of Baptist Memorial's healthcare facilities.
