The National Roofing Contractors Association has released Quality Control and Quality-assurance Guidelines for the Application of Membrane Roof Systems.
The document provides NRCA's on-site evaluation guidelines during the application of membrane roof systems. The publication stresses thorough, continual inspections during roof system construction to recognize and correct variances as they are detected.
It also provides guidelines to appraise the quality of applications. The document describes expected variances in application parameters related to vapor retarders, insulations, fasteners, membranes, flashings, and surfacings.
