The library’s new home will be a completely new building in Jerusalem, and will combine the functions of a central research center, a venue for indoor and outdoor cultural and educational activities, and a place for digital experience.

According to Designboom, the built area consists of approximately 34,000 sm, with six floors totaling 15,000 sm above ground. The remaining space will house stacks and parking below ground.

The groundbreaking is scheduled for 2016, with completion slated for 2019.
