The design-build team of Charles Perry Partners, Inc., Ponikvar & Associates, Inc. and Causseaux, Hewett, & Walpole, Inc. is set to break ground in December for the City of Gainesville’s new $33 million Regional Transit System (RTS) Bus Fleet Maintenance & Operations Facility. Funded by federal grants from the Federal Transit Administration, the 140,000-sf facility will include dispatch, administrative and maintenance facilities. The City Commission’s November 2011 selection of the team affirmed its Purchasing Division’s recommendation following consideration of five teams with national transit facility experience.
