Aug. 11, 2010

T he Center for Autism in Shaker Heights, Ohio, was designed by Westlake Reed Leskosky of Cleveland for the Cleveland Clinic. The $8 million, 24,000-sf single-story building expresses a clarity of purpose in its design and aspires to be a national model in its integration of a clinical and educational facility within a hospital setting. WRL said the design of the hospital environment supports behavioral and sensory progress of its patients. Ozanne Construction of Cleveland, Ohio, is construction manager for the estimated $8 million project, scheduled for completion in June 2008. The Cleveland-based team also includes Knight & Stolar Inc. for site work and landscape architecture and Karpinski Engineering for technology services.
