The new 80,000-sf student center at Kishwaukee College, in Malta, Ill., is the first in-field use of the Dow Knight-CI system, a continuous insulation solution developed from a partnership between Dow Building Solutions and Knight Wall Systems. It combines Dow’s Thermax wall system with wall cladding attachments from Knight Wall Systems. Demonica Kemper Architects selected the system to ensure true continuous insulation for its building envelope design. The combination is an all-in-one cladding attachment, support, and rainscreen cavity system, which helps to reduce thermal bridging in the assembly.
