Children’s-sized toilet adapted for extended age range

Sept. 10, 2012

The new Madera Youth FloWise flushometer toilet offers specifiers a high-efficiency, 1.28-gpf children’s toilet that meets the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards for ages 5 to 12, in addition to the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Designed to comply with accessibility standards for two different age groups—5-8 years old and 9-12 years old—this children’s toilet has a 14-inch floor-to-rim height that enables schools to use a single toilet bowl. The high-efficiency toilet uses direct-fed siphon jet action and a 2-1/8-inch fully glazed trapway to effectively clear the bowl using just 1.28 gpf.
