JBC Companies and James G. Davis Construction are building a new home for 2,000 employees of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases near other NIAID laboratories in Rockville, Md. Designed by the Washington, D.C.-office of architect HOK, the 490,998-sf, 10-story building will feature two wings of 25,000 sf each, an atrium entry lobby, precast and glass exterior, and five-story parking garage. A new hiker/biker path will connect the Twinbrook Metro Station to the Rock Creek Park network of trails.
