The Okanagan College Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Building Technologies and Renewable Energy Conservation in Penticton, B.C., will train the next generation of green construction professionals. Designed by CEI Architecture to the standards of the Living Building Challenge, the 6,780-sm center meets net-zero energy and water consumption requirements and includes an in-floor radiant heating and cooling system. A 260-kilowatt photovoltaic solar array, the largest in western Canada, completes the design, making the building one of the greenest in the world.
