Hoar Construction, LLC participated in the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new $38-million Granite Westchase 2 office building in Houston. Hoar Construction is general contractor for the new facility which will be located adjacent to the existing Granite Westchase office building at the corner of Richmond Avenue and Beltway 8 in the Westchase District. The 14-story, 336,000-square-foot, speculative high-rise office building will also include an eight-story, 1,000-car parking garage. The building which will be LEED certified will be constructed of cast-in-place concrete while the parking structure will be pre-cast concrete. The exterior of the office building will feature a glass curtainwall. Full upgrades of all site amenities are also included as part of the project. Project completion is planned for spring 2008.
