Built in 1923 as a hotel-apartment building, the 11-story Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas is being expanded with luxury condominiums by developers Prescott Realty Group, Dallas, and Apollo Real Estate Advisors, New York. Residential Constructors LLC, local subsidiary of St. Louis, Mo.-based contractor McCarthy Building Cos., has been awarded the contract to build a $60 million, 22-story residential tower in a parking lot adjacent to the historic hotel. The new tower will contain 97 units, a private pool, a gardened terrace, a fitness club, and a business center. The developers are investing another $20 million to renovate the Stoneleigh Hotel.
