New York-based HAO has released designs it submitted for the proposed Bolong 3D Movie Museum & Mediatek, Inhabitat reports.

The competition, organized by the Tianjin Urban Planning Bureau, is for firms to design a movie museum that will be the cornerstone of a new media park in Tianjin, a city in northeastern China.

Of its designs, HAO says that the building’s shape takes inspiration from clouds, “emphasizing ideas of creativity – each of the buildings programs is encapsulated in its own sphere, creating a series of unique spatial experiences as visitors move through the building.”

The architect likens the different paths to choose from upon entering the building’s lobby with choosing different paths “to explore the interior universe.”

The building is intended to serve as the centerpiece of the new Bolong Film Festival and will house the planned James Cameron Avatar Experience Center.
