Central Assisted Living, a four-story, 12,000-sf luxury senior residence in Far Rockaway, Queens, is nearing completion.
The boutique facility will feature 12 spacious apartments with state-of-the-art interiors, resident lounges, a dining/recreational area, laundry rooms, staff offices, and a large lobby. Units include high quality finishes, well-equipped kitchens, individual PTAC heating and cooling units, and bathrooms with step-in showers.
In addition to Landow and Landow Architects, the build team also included Eastman Cooke as the general contractor. The ground-up project entailed the construction of a steel superstructure, metal joist and Structo-Crest floor framing, and steel-stud exterior framing, all finished with fiber cement lap siding and custom-colored Marvin windows, topped with a gable roof. Eastman Cooke also installed the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems, and new sewer and water lines.
The project is completing with a parking lot redesign and surrounding landscape.
