Grocery stores, restaurants make neighborhoods most desirable [infographic]

John Burns Real Estate Consulting ranks the top 25 housing amenities by generation, based on feedback from more than 20,000 home shoppers.

The differences between generations are often talked about. How do the Baby Boomers compare to Generation Xers, and how do those two cohorts compare to Gen Yers? Priorities between age groups are different in some ways, but still remain the same in others, as this infographic from John Burns Real Estate Consulting shows.

Building Teams across the country, whether building apartments, condos, or gated communities, may want to consider how close restaurants, grocery stores, and walking trails are to their projects. If your desired tenants are Boomers, you'll want to see if a yoga/pilates center is nearby. Generation Y, however, would prefer a dog park.
