Construction is currently under way on the $39 million, 105,000-sf on Kean University's new Center for Science, Technology & Mathematics Education in Union County, N.J., which will include teaching and research laboratories, computer facilities, training classrooms, lecture halls, a conference center, auditorium, and a restaurant. The building, designed by Cannon Design of New York, is being constructed to meet LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, including the construction of a geothermal field. It is scheduled for completion in 2009.
