Green standard set for single-ply roofing membrane

A sustainability standard has been established for single-ply roofing membranes used on commercial buildings. The NSF/ANSI 347, or "Sustainability Assessment for Single Ply Roofing Membranes," will use four criteria to determine the roofing material’s impact on the environment. It is one of eight NSF International sustainability standards for building products and the first to address the building envelope.
