A mandate that requires installation of green roofs on new commercial and residential buildings in Toronto has been expanded to include industrial facilities.

A mandate that requires installation of green roofs on new commercial and residential buildings in Toronto has been expanded to include industrial facilities. New industrial structures will be required to cover 10% of their rooftops with plants, except when the entire roof is covered with reflective materials and stormwater retention measures are in place.
