Gilbane Building Co. has been selected to provide construction management services for a new integrated middle and high school in North Reading, Mass.
Designed by Dore & Whittier, the $107 million facility will feature a renovated middle school and newly constructed high school connected by a shared core, which will include a gymnasium, library/media center, cafeteria/kitchen and auditorium.
Additionally, the project scope includes a wastewater treatment plant, demolition of the existing high school and extensive athletic fieldwork.
Gilbane is ranked the #1 builder in the country of K-12 schools by Building Design+Construction, with nearly 400 schools built in the last five years.
