Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, a seven-story facility that is the cornerstone of a 25-year master plan for Scripps Memorial Hospital’s La Jolla, Calif., campus. GC McCarthy Building Companies used lean construction principles to prefabricate headwalls and handwashing sinks in the patient rooms, ICUs, and prep/recovery rooms.
