Called "The Legal Office of the Future," the 5,000-sf, pop-up demonstration project designed by Genlser made its debut this week at the annual conference for the Association of Legal Administrators in Toronto, according to the Washington Post.

It is meant to combine many features that are now becoming commonplace in Washington, D.C., law firms. Some of these elements include open floor plans, plenty of communal spaces, and standard-size offices for all partners (as opposed to large corner offices for senior partners and smaller offices for more junior partners).

Gensler will guide visitors through the temporary office, pointing out why each feature was placed and why it made sense.

This project is the culmination of two years work on Gensler's part, and was accomplished in conjunction with furniture companies Herman Miller and Steelcase, and also with Microsoft and Thompson Reuters, who are providing the technology for the exhibit.
